After 6-8 weeks of implementing these steps if you aren’t seeing gradual improvement (fewer breakouts, less often, breakouts that are less inflamed and clear quicker) then I recommend scheduling with your local dermatology office or consider a 1:1 consult with me for custom adjustments. The routine will serve as a foundation either way.

Gradual improvement over 6-8 weeks is the goal for treating breakouts based on the skin cell life cycle. It takes 3-4 months to see the results we really, really want (so much like starting a workout routine!).

The information in the mini course does complement prescriptions, but for best success I typically recommend a 1:1 skincare consult to address the complete picture. I would always ask the prescriber which cleanser and moisturizers they prefer first. If you aren't getting a great answer then I created this to fill in the gap- because I am them, and I have also been the patient looking for answers and getting nowhere.
